About OmegleLife

Last updated October 9, 2026

OmegleLife is a free website where adults chat one to one with random strangers, by text or by video. You open the site, confirm you're 18 or older, pick text chat or video chat, and the matcher pairs you with someone else who's looking. There's no signup and no profile to fill in.

OmegleLife is not affiliated with Omegle.com. Omegle shut down in November 2023. People kept looking for the same simple idea, where you press a button and talk to someone new, so we built a site around it. We use the word "Omegle" on the site because it's the name people search for when they want this kind of chat.

How it works

The chat follows the format Omegle users will recognise. You see "Looking for someone you can chat with…", then "You're now chatting with a random stranger." Messages are labelled "You" and "Stranger". Press Stop or Esc to end a chat, press it again to confirm, then press New to meet someone else.

You can add interests before you start. The matcher spends a few seconds looking for someone who shares one, and if it finds a match you both see "You both like: …". If nobody with your interests is around, it pairs you with anyone available, so you're not left waiting.

The site works in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic, French, German, Turkish and Indonesian. We build every screen to work on a phone first.

What we try to do

We want random chat to be as quick and open as it was on Omegle, with clear rules and working tools for dealing with people who break them.

We don't run bots or add fake users to the queue. The header shows the real number of people connected, and when that number is low it says "Online now" instead of showing a made-up figure.

We keep as little data as we can. Chat messages aren't stored. When someone files a report, we save the last part of that chat for moderators and delete it after 90 days. The Privacy Policy lists everything we keep. Our Community Guidelines are short, and they apply to everyone, paying users included.

How we handle safety

Every chat has a Report button. A report ends the chat, saves the last 50 messages and, for video, one frame, and puts it in front of a moderator. Reports about minors and violence go to the top of the queue. When several different people report the same person, our system bans them temporarily without waiting for a moderator.

Free video users also pass a quick face check that runs in their own browser, with nothing uploaded. A determined person can get around it, so we treat it as one layer of protection alongside reports and moderators. We can't screen everyone or promise that you'll never meet someone unpleasant. We make it easy to leave a chat and report it, and we act on what people report. The Safety Center has practical tips and explains what we do with reports.

OmegleLife is for adults only. We ban anyone we believe is under 18, and we report the exploitation of children to the authorities.

How OmegleLife pays for itself

Free users see ads. In the EU and the UK, ads and analytics only load after you agree to them in the cookie banner. We keep ads away from the video and the chat controls.

Premium is an optional weekly or monthly plan. It adds a country filter, a gender filter, photo and video sharing, auto-message, auto-next, no ads, a PRO badge with queue priority, a way to reconnect with your last stranger, and the option to skip the face check. The gender filter relies on what people say about themselves, and we don't verify it. You can cancel in one click from your account page. Crypto buys a one-time pass instead of a subscription. The basic chat stays free either way.
